Happiness is Bliss

You know, Happiness truly is bliss. I have not been truly happy in quiet a while, perhaps even a bit depressed. And though I am still waiting on my results, some of the tension has passed just having the surgery out of the way. My worries still lie in the back of my mind, but they are much quieter now.

I got a very important letter yesterday, welcoming me to UF! I was, still am, sooooo excited! UF is an extremely difficult school to get into, they are very selective, and very competitive. I am honored, humbled, and excited all at once. It has been a childhood dream for me to attend UF, since I was old enough to comprehend the word college. I gave up on it during my more turbulent years. I have since had to work hard, and diligently to make up for the mistakes of my youth. It seemed as though I would never get in, but here I am.

The boyfriend, has almost graduated to my boyfriend… I am growing quite fond of him. The other night we watched this really good movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and I won’t go into details, but it was just a really good night. We have plans for this weekend, previously discussed in prior blog entry. I look forward to hearing from him each night. I enjoy being around him. He makes me smile when I think about him. No, no L word, but I do like him!

I watched the eclipse with my cousin. Which was awesome. I went to his house where he prepared my two favorite dishes that he makes. He made Fettuccini Alfredo and his famous grilled chicken. He helped me with my homework, then we spent over two hours looking into the night sky, watching the moon go from full to partially eclipsed, to fully eclipsed, and back again. It was very pleasant, we have both been so busy lately, that we haven’t actually got to talk in forever. He is the one person that I don’t have to hold anything back from. I can just be, and that is enough. We saw a billion shooting stars… It was very relaxing.

My car is fixed, runs like a champ now… I smiled, truly smiled, a happy smile yesterday when I got my letter. And I have hardly stopped since. The moon was awesome, the company was great, I smiled some more! It feels good to smile. It feels good to be happy. It feels even better to have finally accomplished a lifetime goal.

So I will leave you today with a genuine smile!

Congratulations, I know you have been working very hard to get there. I am glad you have found some happiness after all you have been through; you really deserve it. Let me know when your orientation is... you might be able to get a private tour!
